What’s it all about?

If you have ever found yourself wondering about the bigger questions in life: Why am I here? What’s the point in life? Can there really be a God out there? … then Alpha is the perfect place to find some answers.

What is Alpha?

The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed informal setting over a few weeks of thought-provoking sessions. It’s low key, friendly and fun and there’s no cost. Over 2 million people in the UK and 11 million worldwide have already found it to be a worthwhile experience.

Who is it for?

Alpha is literally for anyone - whether you have a faith or not, whether you are not sure about such things or whether you’d call yourself a Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, agnostic, atheist or whatever.

Where is it being held?

Alpha is being run jointly by All Saints' Church, New Haw and Heathervale Baptist Church in Bosco's Hall (beside All Saints' Church). Each session starts with a meal, so please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.

What happens on an Alpha evening?

Each evening will start with a lovely meal, we then watch a short, thought-provoking film and finally (the most important part) an open conversation to ask questions and explore the meaning of life with other people on the Alpha Course.
