Cops and Robbers

The end of August saw another very successful summer Holiday Club at All Saints’.  Over 100 children between the ages of 4 and 12 attended, as well as a group of teenagers who were part of the ‘Up Front Team’ and performed in daily drama productions.

The theme for this year was Cops and Robbers and it linked in with the Old Testament story of Joseph.  The Club ran over three days and the children were divided into four age related groups where they enjoyed craft activities, games and workshops.  Each morning and afternoon, Katy and Bethany headed up ‘Altogether Times’ when the children heard the story and learnt the message for the day using song, videos, games and drama.

During two afternoons, Workshops were arranged when the children were able to take part in Sport, Dance, watch a Magician, do some construction or learn about the Police.  On Friday afternoon there was a visit from some local Police Officers.

On Saturday 31st, the children returned with their families for a presentation about Holiday Club.  This was followed by a BBQ in the garden.

Many thanks to over 40 helpers who worked so hard to achieve such a successful holiday club and thanks must also go to the wonderful group of children who came along and made it so worth while.  We are all looking forward to next year!!
